About Clara
Hi, I'm Clara
Despite having had a passion for dogs since a young age, I had always been told that working with them was not realistic. However, after training to be a solicitor, I still had a burning desire to work with dogs and decided to pursue my dream to become a dog trainer.
I enjoy working with people to help them understand and build a better relationship with their dogs. I completely understand what it is like to have a dog with behavioural problems, and I am committed to helping owners and dogs lead a fulfilling life together, focusing on what is important to you. My approach is practical and simple, and I aim to give you the confidence to deal with any situation you are faced with when it comes to your dog.
I am a huge believer in the phrase “you don’t know until you know” and there is no judgement here. My goal is to be able to share my knowledge with as many dog owners as possible so that we can all enjoy our dogs, whilst making sure that they are also happy and fulfilled.

My Training Journey
2018
My dog training journey started whilst I was at university, when I started volunteering at my local RSPCA centre in my free time to get my dog fix! I spent a lot of time around dogs with various behavioural issues without really knowing how to help them, and I became obsessed with canine behaviour, so much so that I ended up writing my dissertation on dog ownership and breed specific legislation.
2019
After university, and whilst training to be a solicitor I adopted my first dog, Oliver. He was a nervous, reactive dog and I threw myself into training him using online resources, books and anything I could find that would increase my knowledge. I reached a point where I needed professional help with his dog reactivity, and that is when I met a company called Holistic Hounds. At the time, I was still working at a law firm, but I expressed my interest in becoming a dog trainer and spent my days off learning and getting real world experience. I also adopted another dog, Harley, a deaf Boxer, in 2021.
2022
Upon qualifying as a solicitor in 2022 I made the jump to become a full-time dog trainer. Having years of practical industry experience, I have a wealth of knowledge and have worked with hundreds of dogs of different breeds and with different behavioural problems.
